Forgiveness

Forgiveness means seeing someone through the eyes of Jesus
All failures aside
Straight to the soul
And never looking back

Forgiving means not holding a grudge
It means not using a person's actions against them
And not judging their future actions
On a single simple mistake

Forgiveness means searching deep within your soul
And realizing that you are human
That you too are flawed
That you too make the same mistakes

Forgiveness is all about growing up
It means forgetting how you have been wronged
And who has wronged you
Forgiveness means moving on and getting over hurt and pain

Forgiveness means to do as Jesus did
It means to forgive all people at all times
No matter what
And regardless of the circumstance

Forgiveness means not planning revenge
It means not hoping for justice
But acting justly by giving others another chance
In doing so, others will forgive you

Forgiveness means setting aside your own pain
Forgetting you were hurt
Admitting you were wrong
Not harboring any resentment
And forgiving and loving unconditionally
Forgiveness means forgiving exactly as Jesus did on the cross
When He pardoned those that killed Him
